2013 Activities
Students in the slideshow below shared what they learned with their books buddies.
5th Grade Activities
Fantasy Glogs created by Mrs. Gresser's Students.
Students were to write a fantasy story. They looked at setting, characters, and ways to promote their fantasy place. Each student created a map or picture of their place to present. Whether they used the program Paint.net or their own drawings, which they scanned themselves to create PDF files, they all learned how to embed their pictures into the Glog. In addition, students created an animated character to talk about their place through the program, Voki.com. While Glogster and Voki don't mesh together, this didn't stop the students from creating a voice recording through the use of an iPad app called Quick Voice. It was then uploaded to our computers and embedded into the Glog.

Animoto 5th Grade Science Style!
Students in Mr. Bullis's science classes were challenged to create a commercial to represent an energy that people should use. They could only use pictures and minimal words to convey the benefits of their energy. Students researched their energy, took notes, and found pictures to emphasize their point of view. In addition, students had to learn how to organized their pictures and pick the right music to enhance their video. The video below is just a sampling of their creations. Please come back in the near future to view other animoto links!
